The Story About Pixelsilk

Pixelsilk's headquarters is based in Bend, Oregon - hub of the search engine optimization industry with a second location in Portland, Oregon.  The company has been building corporate internet software since 1995 and optimizing for search engine optimization since 1997.  The unique skill set of our software development team, combined with a deep knowledge for SEO and content management began the creation of Pixelsilk over two years ago.

Early in 2006, the Pixelsilk team was ready to rethink the way we've been using CMS.  The previous CMS system, having deployed over 500 websites, taught lessons and showed holes in way CMS was adapting to Web 2.0 and the demands of SEO and web design firms.

In search of the system to buy that would answer our needs, we found...zero. Thus the idea for Pixelsilk was created and from there, hard work ensued to forecast and develop for the need to satisfy this emerging industry.

Since then, the database architecture, requirements gathering and specification grew to embody the ideals of full HTML control for designers and SEOs, real-time search advice to educate customers and a system to meet the need of mid-sized businesses that have been down the road before.

Pixelsilk succeeds, where previous systems fail, for flexibility in implementing a custom search strategy.

Although client sites have been published throughout 2008 and the buzz has started, Pixelsilk will launch publicly in early 2009 at SMX West in Santa Clara, CA.  Join the movement.

Pixelsilk team consists of 21 and is growing steadily.  We are a Microsoft Gold Partner (a partner since 1996) and have memberships and/or affiliations with SEMPO, SEMpdx, SMX, SES and the American Advertising Federation (AAF).
